Throughout the Bible, the phrase "blessed is he," is used often to describe the Believer who lives and
abides by God's word. This can be seen by searching the Bible for this phrase and reading how it is used
contextually.
Jesus uses a similar phrase extensively in His Sermon on the Mount – the Beatitudes
(Matt 5:1-11).
However, it is possible that the blessing is for both Believer and non-Believer.
For the non-Believer, they will see that God judges those who do not have faith in Him and
bless those who do; therefore, repent and have faith in God.
For Believers, the purpose of Revelation is to encourage you to overcome.
Each group is left with the question of what does that mean and how? These are the
application questions that are in the background of Revelation.
