Approach: Studying Jeremiah 1:4-5 together.

Hermeneutic objective: Learning how to observe the author's background to gain a sense of the purpose of his book.

Theological objective: Jeremiah's prophecy of the fall of Judah and Jerusalem is significant for the complete breaking of the Mosaic Covenant and expulsion of the Promised Land. But all is not lost as Jeremiah introduces the New Covenant.
