Approach: Reading Proverbs 1:27-31 to understand what is more important - prayer or Bible study.
Hermeneutic objective: Practicing the skill of observation, interpretation, and application.
Theological objective: Knowledge is God's advice which includes His rebuke (correction). It is associated
with the fear of the Lord, which is an attitude that recognizes the absolute authority of God and fearing to disobey
Him (Gen 22:11-12).
God's word is the basis of knowing what to do in obedience to God.
By not attempting to acquire the knowledge of God's word, a person does not fear the authority of
God nor in disobeying Him. And God does not answer their prayers.
