Approach: Reading and carefully parsing 1 Corinthians 15:42-49.

Hermeneutic objective: Learning how to build a table to list one's observations so that comparisons and contrasts can be easily seen and understood.

Theological objective: Although the image of God is part of their nature, the apostle Paul's comparison between Adam and Jesus Christ can be summed up in his last contrast: Borne the image of the man of dust verses Bear the image of the Man of heaven. Paul's statement on the resurrection helps us understand how a corrupted image of God is recovered through faith in Jesus Christ.
