Approach: Studying several passages together to learn about God's character of being holy and discussing the challenges for us to be holy as God is holy.

Hermeneutic objective: Learning what being holy means to God with careful observation of the biblical text and use of a lexicon.

Theological objective: "Holy" is a term that places an emphasis on God, because it calls to attention the condition something must be in when encountering the realm of God. It is God's glory, all of His goodness, that separates God from the profane and unclean. To be holy as God is holy means that one must have His goodness in both thought and behavior to be set apart from the common and unclean world.
