Approach: Exploring how faith in the Old Testament helps us understand faith in the New Testament.

Hermeneutic objective: Learning that observing details matter in deriving an accurate interpretation and that the Bible does explain itself.

Theological objective: God's definition of faith in the Old Testament also applies in the New Testament.

1. Believe the historical and real existence of God, because the historical Jesus Christ is the image of God in form, name, words, and act.

2. Place a trust in God, like Abraham, that engenders an obedience to His word, because God's word saves and leads to eternal life.
