The idea that angels can procreate is based in part from the this verse and the controversy
surrounding its interpretation:
"Now it came about, when men began to multiply on the face of the land, and
daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they
took wives for themselves, whomever they chose." (Gen 6:1-2)
Whether the reference "sons of God" can be interpreted as "angels" or not is the center of controversy.
For those who see this as meaning angels, it is explicit evidence that angels can procreate - at least with
human beings.
With regard to the creation of angels, the Bible implies that they were created on the first day of Creation.
