The Spirit of the Lord God is on me,

to bring good news to
He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives
and freedom to the
prisoners; (Isa 61:1, CSB)

What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is proclaimed,

Where can I go to escape your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to
heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
If I fly on the wings of the dawn
down on the western horizon,
even there your hand will lead me; (Ps 139:7-10)
Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord,
or who gave him counsel?
Who did he consult?
Who gave him understanding
and taught him the paths of justice?
Who taught him knowledge
and showed him the way
of understanding? (Isa 40:13-14)
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish
to God, cleanse our consciences from dead works so that we can serve the living God? (Heb 9:14, CSB)
